Selecting a Contractor

Before you select a contractor for your irrigation system, it may be useful to consider the following points

Licensing - Is the contractor licensed for this state? Yes, Greenworld-Irrigation Specialist, Inc. is licensed in Rockland, Orange and Westchester Counties, NY and is licensed in the State of New Jersey.

System Warranty - Is there a warranty? Yes. Does it cover material and labor? Yes. We offer a 2 year or 5 year warranty (depending on which type of system was purchased) on all of our sprinkler systems.

Permits - Will the contractor provide all necessary permits? Yes, All necessary permits will be pulled by Greenworld-Irrigation Specialist, Inc. prior to the installation. Copies of permits are available upon request.

Back flow prevention equipment - What type of back flow prevention device is being used on the system? The type of back flow device differs per county. Rockland County requires a Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) Back flow Prevention Device. Bergen County, NJ and Westchester County, NY requires either a Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB), Double Check (DC) or Reduced Pressure Assembly (RPZ) Backflow Prevention Device depending on what your local town requires. Orange County, NY requires that we check with the water districts to see what type of backflow prevention device is recommended. We are very familiar with the regulations and ordinances for each water utility district.

Insurance - Does the contractor have liability insurance? Yes, Greenworld-Irrigation Specialist, Inc. is fully insured for your protection. A copy of Liability, Disability, and Workman's Compensation insurance is available upon request.

Subcontractors - Will subcontractors be used in this project? Greenworld-Irrigation Specialist, Inc. will subcontract the plumbing portions of your project. Will they be similarly insured? Yes, Greenworld-Irrigation Specialist, Inc. has carefully selected professional partners whom are insured and bonded for your protection.

Professionalism - Is the contractor a member of any professional associations? Yes, Greenworld-Irrigation Specialist, Inc. is a member of the following organizations and associations:
